Kooda Road Miniature
Horse Stud
was initiated in 1998 after a few years of dabbling in miniature
ponies.
We are
situated in the lovely New England area of
New South Wales, just 16 km south of Armidale, towards Uralla in the
small rural farming area of Invergowrie.
After years of improving our brood mares to what
we now consider to be mares with exceptional potential, these include
100% American, National Champion, Reserve National Champion and Reserve Grand National Champions, plus mares born out
of some of the best stock
Australia
has to offer, we look with anticipation at their offspring sired by
our most impressive stallions. Already
there is more than a ripple of excitement at the few foals already
shown and the foals on the ground.
This season will be the proof in the pudding that the Kooda
Road Miniature Horse Stud has arrived as a future provider of first
class miniature horses.

Our two Australian Multi Grand National Champion
stallions need little introduction to miniature horse enthusiasts,
having continually taken all before them in the show ring.
Fairyland
Ocala Flight (above right) is the most consistent
winning and competitive stallion in recent miniature history, endowed
with type, skill and a rare ability to think, he has a large following
throughout
Australia
due to his amazing feats. In
2006 alone he won Supreme Halter Horse at the NSW State Show, took out
nearly every event in his class at the Queensland State Show and at
the Nationals won seven National, two Reserve Grand Nationals and
three Grand National classes.

Scott Creek Mystical Spectrum (above left) has
been a revelation since he has been in
Australia
, winning national titles and many supreme and champion events.
“Spec” has been putting his stamp on all of his foals, his
first drop has yielded horses that win, and win at the highest level
continually. All have his
exquisite head and carriage and are taking out many supreme and
championship ribbons. This
season’s drop is even more exciting and we await eagerly the start
of the new show season.
We are excited about our future breeding prospects and know you will
be too when we make available to the public a few select foals each
year.
Our stud is interlinked with Trabyrne Stud in
Queensland with Tracey Bryne and Christie Smith, who have not only been
wonderful friends
but an incredible help to us in our quest to continue in this industry
of breeding incredibly good horses in Australia for Australians.
