'Ocky' is a 3/4 American
miniature horse, who has become famous over
the years as
one of the best all-round competition stallions
ever seen on the Australian show circuit.
'Ocky' has taken
everything before him in the show ring, he has won so many
titles
it would be pointless to list them all here.
He excels in all categories,
he has won so many Grand National and National trophies
it is
mind boggling! Supremes and Champion ribbons are the norm,
whether it is halter
or carriage, jumping or lunge-line, or any
of the performance events, he will always win
or at least top
three!
'Ocky' measures 34.25 inches,
and is known for his stallion attitude - but that is the fighter
in him! In other words, 'Ocky' rules, as a true stallion does.
He is also gifted with a mind
that can think.
We will always be indebted to Doug Farmer for training and
showing 'Ocky', also to Tracey Byrne and Christie Smith who put
in all the hard yards to prepare him, as well as John and Lynn
Crosse.
UPDATE 01/09/07: 'Ocky' is now competing as a gelding. After winning Australian
National Grand Champion on so many occasions up to the age of
four, then repeating it all again in the small horse category,
we have now given 'Ocky' the opportunity to end his fabulous
career as a gelding.
Already "Ocky' has won National Grand Champion in the
gelding classes at this years Nationals, he was also chosen as
the American judges best senior gelding horse of show among
other awards.
'Ocky' has been our wonder horse, a horse that has thrived
continually against all
opposition in all classes. This is the
legacy that only true champions achieve. Still a
first class all
round performance horse 'Ocky' has risen to the challenge of the
harness
and as such has conquered all before him.
Only time will tell when this great horse comes to the end of
his illustrious career, but until then we will continue to be
amazed at his feats.
